At Deer Lake Athletic Club our Professional Pro Staff will help your child learn the sport of a lifetime.
Whether your child is a Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, High School or Elite Tournament Player, our Instructors will help your child improve his or her skills. Children learn stroke production, techniques, footwork, conditioning, strategy and match play skills. Private lessons are also available for players.

Junior Tennis USTA Team
USTA Team Tennis is a Junior Team League. Levels range from Beginners to Ranked players ages 8-18 years.
All players will play singles and doubles at each match. Pizza and Pop after each match. Teams are co-ed and start in September thru March. Participants are required to become USTA members.

TINY TOTS - BEGINNER (3-4 yrs)
These classes are for players with no or very little tennis experience. Introduces the game in
a safe, fun, enthusiastic environment. Children are introduced to the court, balls, racquet, forehand,
backhand, volleys and cooperative hitting. Hand-eye coordination is developed through games and drills.

emphasized along with learning to rally with proper form and increase in consistency.

For players who have completed beginner requirements. Students should be ready to start playing leagues and tournaments. More emphasis will be placed on spins (topspin, slice..) and styles of play. Students will increase in consistency, power and control.

HIGH SCHOOL INTERMEDIATE DEVELOPMENT (13-18 yrs)
For students who would like to play on High School JV or Varsity teams. This class continues to build on the techniques established in the beginner and advanced beginner class with more emphasis on match play skills including tennis rules, positioning, strategy and shot selection.

ADVANCED / TOURNAMENT TRAINING (13-18 yrs)
Strictly for serious tournament and varsity high school players between the ages of 13 and 18 who compete in local or sectional USTA sanctioned tournaments. Emphasis will be on increasing your range of playing styles. Advanced stroke production, grips and spins, cooperative and competitive games, footwork, conditioning, discipline, strategy and match play skills. Players are expected to maintain a high level of intensity, to play challenge matches, participate in USTA tournaments and pursue district and sectional rankings. Must have approval by Head Tennis Professional to be admitted into this class.........

Junior Tennis Policy
1) Payment must be made by the start of the first class.
2) Only Members with 2 or more member students enrolled are eligible for 10% off the lowest fee.
3) Payments will be prorated for those entering the class after sessions have begun.
4) No make ups will be honored after a session is finished.
5) No refunds after a session has started.
6) JUNIOR WALK ON COURT TIME:
A: All Juniors enrolled in the Junior Tennis Program, except those who drop in, are entitled to “Free” Walk on Court Time with other enrolled juniors.
B: When these Juniors hit with adults, they may hit with their own parent/family only. The parents/family must pay half the court fees.
C: No parent, family or adult is allowed to run drills with or condition any child they are not related to.
