George Lowe
USPTA Certified Professional George Lowe from Portland, OR. has 5 years experience teaching all levels of the game from beginners to nationally ranked juniors and adults. He was a top 20 sectionally ranked Jr. in the Pacific Northwest Section and a third place finisher in the Oregon State High School Tennis Championships.
George attended Kalamazoo College where he competed for the Hornets all 4 years, co-captaining the team his Junior and Senior years. He earned Second Team all-MIAA honors his senior year and competed in the NCAA Division III National Championship Tournament. George graduated with a BA in Physics in 2004 and began teaching tennis in 2005.
Since 2005 George has been a pro at The Kalamazoo County YMCA in Kalamazoo, MI., head pro at The Lawn and Tennis Club of North Carolina and a pro at Deer Lake since 2008. At Deer Lake George runs Adult USTA and Adult Suburban team practices, Adult beginner and Intermediate clinics, Junior beginner to advanced group lessons as well as privates for any and all ages and abilities. He is also trained to run cardio tennis or "aerobic tennis" classes as well as Jr. QuickStart clinics. George is committed to teaching this sport that will last a lifetime to as many people as he can in a fun and enjoyable manner.
